The Silent Spring
I saw fields white with daisies when yellows on the broom
Where once flowed a river, a river that ran free
Won't you come into my garden, taste the honey on the rose
Sit down here beside me where weeping willows grow
Now we walk on lonely meadows and play on barren soil
We are fearful of the future we've now a silent spring
The circle carries onward like a road that never bends
And as the snow falls in the river, a moment white, then gone
Can't you see there is a rhythm, don't we know there is a plan
The natural world has chosen to heal our precious land
I saw fields white with daisies when yellows on the broom
Where once flowed a river, a river that ran free
We are fearful of the future we've now a silent spring,
We've now a silent spring
It's now a silent spring
